01 Day 1
Rome
Arrive and meet the old city
Settle in, then choose one neighbourhood around Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Keep arrival day light, with dinner and an early finish.
02 Day 2
Rome
Time for ancient Rome
Make the Colosseum and Roman Forum the main visit, with the appropriate booking. After a break, explore Monti rather than adding another major museum.
03 Day 3
Rome
One museum, then life by the river
Choose one museum to suit the group, followed by the Tiber and Trastevere. Treat any Vatican visit as a separate booking and admission arrangement.
04 Day 4
Florence
By train to Renaissance Florence
Travel to Florence in the morning. After check-in, see Piazza del Duomo and Ponte Vecchio; save major museums for a day without a transfer.
05 Day 5
Florence
Art and an evening by the Arno
Choose either the Uffizi or Accademia for a focused visit, then Santa Croce and small workshops. Pick an evening viewpoint to match the group’s energy.
06 Day 6
Venice
From the station to the canals
After the train, allow time for luggage and the journey to your accommodation. Spend the afternoon in Cannaregio or Dorsoduro.
07 Day 7
Venice
San Marco and the Grand Canal
See San Marco in the morning and choose one booked landmark. Enjoy the city from the water later, allowing time for queues and boarding.
08 Day 8
Venice
A final unhurried morning
Keep breakfast and a nearby walk as the final activities. Leave a generous margin for reaching the station or airport.
