BEFORE YOU PLAN
Two useful planning questions.
For a first China business trip, should I choose one city or several?
Choose a base around the main objective. Add complementary stops such as Shanghai–Suzhou or Guangzhou–Shenzhen when they answer different needs. A focused programme is usually more useful than constant transfers.
What information is needed to start finding business contacts?
Start with a company profile, product or technology focus, objective, approximate month and group size. Confirm each host, activity and appointment separately; agree how drawings or samples may be shared.
