Pace, season and who it suits

The Terracotta Army
Views from the city walls
Old-city lanes and local noodle dishes
01 Day 1
Giant Wild Goose Pagoda area, Xi’an
Arrive for a short walk around the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
Rest after checking in, then take a short square-side walk around the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda if energy allows. View its outline from outside without climbing, try a local noodle dish and finish the evening early.
02 Day 2
Lintong
A dedicated Terracotta Army day
Travel to Lintong for the Terracotta Army’s excavation halls, choosing your guide or interpretation in advance. Allow for indoor walking and queues, then finish according to energy rather than adding another major site.
03 Day 3
Xi’an
A section of the walls and local streets
Walk one section of the city walls when conditions are comfortable, looking across rooftops and streets. Shorten the visit in wind or heat, then pause for tea and explore one neighbourhood’s food later.
04 Day 4
Xi’an
Choose one museum or an easy departure
If departure leaves a genuine half-day, visit one reserved museum. Otherwise, enjoy breakfast and leave for your departure point, checking the airport or rail station carefully rather than assuming the same transfer.
