01 Day 1
Wulingyuan
Reach the scenic-area base and rest
Continue from Zhangjiajie to your Wulingyuan accommodation, then eat and rest. Confirm tomorrow’s gate, booking and internal transport rather than treating arrival at the airport or station as time already available in the mountains.
02 Day 2
Wulingyuan
One focused route among the peaks
Choose one principal peak route, such as Tianzishan, using lifts or cableways according to operation. Select a few viewpoints and allow queues and seated breaks rather than repeatedly crossing the park.
03 Day 3
Wulingyuan
A valley walk with a generous buffer
Walk a manageable section beside Golden Whip Stream and choose a sensible turning point. Keep the afternoon free for rest or weather-related adjustments, without making the full valley trail a requirement.
04 Day 4
Fenghuang
Continue to Fenghuang and the Tuo River
Travel to Fenghuang and include the final connection to your accommodation. After settling in, walk one side of the Tuo River for bridges and waterfront streets, without chasing every illuminated viewpoint.
05 Day 5
Fenghuang
An old-town morning before departure
Take a short early walk through the old-town lanes before breakfast and packing. Rail stations and airports require separate transfers from the historic centre, so leave a proper buffer instead of adding another excursion.

- Distinguish the different parks
- Wulingyuan, Tianmen and other attractions have different entrances; this outline focuses on Wulingyuan.
- Match the route to physical ability
- Cableways do not remove every stair; consider mobility and comfort with heights and choose routes that can be shortened.
- Give the transfer enough room
- Confirm trains, roads and the final transfer; the station name does not mean the station is in the old town.
