Wulong’s natural bridges
01 Day 1
Hongya Cave riverside, Chongqing
Arrive for an exterior Hongya Cave riverside view
Rest after checking in, then choose an accessible riverside stretch near Hongya Cave for exterior views of its buildings and the layered city. Skip the full stair circuit, eat locally and return for a quiet night.
02 Day 2
Chongqing
A manageable section of the hillside streets
Explore a short section of the hillside walkways or Yuzhong’s older streets, noticing how stairs connect the city to the rivers. Rest indoors before an optional hotpot dinner suited to your preferences.
03 Day 3
Wulong
Give the transfer its own space
Travel to Wulong using the confirmed rail or road plan, then continue to your accommodation. Keep the afternoon light and check tomorrow’s access, shuttle and weather rather than entering a gorge after arrival.
04 Day 4
Wulong
Focus on the Three Natural Bridges
Make the Three Natural Bridges the day’s only main attraction, following the marked route through cliffs and the valley floor. Allow for steps, shuttles and lunch before the return transfer to Chongqing.
05 Day 5
Chongqing
Breakfast and a departure buffer
Avoid crossing districts on the final morning. After breakfast and packing, allow time for the correct departure point, remembering that Chongqing’s stations, airport transfers and hilly streets can make journeys less straightforward.
